Interfaith Day of Unity 2026

In the tradition of past IDU events, the ceremony started with 4 distinct calls to worship. A conch shell is blown by a member of the Hindu community; a shofar from the Jewish community; and a Zoroastrian and Muslim call to prayer are also sounded.

The mission of Interfaith Day of Unity is: "Together, Seeking a world of Inclusivity, Justice, Faithfulness, and Peace. Faiths united, Communities strengthened, Together we thrive."

At the heart of IDU are the children. Children create flags representing peace and put together a musical performance representing their faith and culture on stage.

This year, the 2026 Peacemaker Award went to Dr. Walid Harb and Bryant Frank, for their work collaborating on bridging the Jewish and Muslim faiths through solidarity and dialogue.
